As a dedicated, spirited, and compassionate registered dietitian, Sarah Koszyk, focuses on empowering people to make positive lifestyle changes. Her expertise in nutrition and food science, behavior modification, motivational interviewing, and cognitive therapy virtually assures her client’s success. Sarah originally became part of the MV Nutrition Team in 2005 and has since excelled in achieving healthy benefits for all of her clients.

Specializing in the care and comfort of her clients, Sarah emphasizes how to improve their quality of life through appropriate nutrient intake and healthy activity. With her experience in multiple arenas, ranging from a clinical environment to a community setting, she offers a variety of updated knowledge,
practitioner-client proficiency, and friendly professionalism.

In addition to private practice, Sarah had experience at San Francisco General Hospital (SFGH) as a clinical dietitian assisting patients from many backgrounds with various medical conditions. Her proficiency in Spanish demonstrates her versatility and multi-cultural perspective to counsel and teach in a bilingual setting.

At the Cancer Resource Center at the University of California, San Francisco, Sarah analyzed and developed nutrient fact sheets for the entire cafeteria menu and assisted with research projects and client care. She has taught nutrition classes for the Child Care Coordinating Council to childcare providers regarding breast-feeding and child and adult health. Sarah performed presentations involving general nutrition, diabetes, cancer, AIDS,
geriatric nutrition, weight management, and sports nutrition to multiple community organizations, including Meals on Wheels of San Francisco and the Dorrwin B. Jones Senior Center. Sarah is also a Certified Food Safety Manager by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals. Sarah has also developed and written multiple articles, presentations, and nutritional newsletters.

Sarah originally received her first two Bachelor of Arts Degrees from San Francisco State University in Speech & Communications and in Spanish. She returned to her studies and completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from the University of Northern Colorado. Then, she completed her dietetic internship through San Francisco State University. She is currently working on her Master of Arts degree in Consumer and Family Studies at San Francisco State University.
