Christina Lazzaretto,
a dynamic registered dietitian, has extensive experience working
with a variety of people with nutritional medical problems and she
is known to be an extraordinary health coach. Christina has joined
MV Nutrition where she is expanding her private practice. Before
MV Nutrition, Christina worked at Kaiser Permanente as an outpatient
dietitian and personal health coach. Her focus has been on weight
management (adult and pediatric), sports nutrition, diabetes, cardiovascular
health, and general wellness. In addition to one-on-one counseling,
Christina spent much of her time teaching classes. Topics taught
have included cholesterol, diabetes, and weight management. She
has helped lead an intensive pediatric weight management program
for the past two years. In the past she has worked as an inpatient
dietitian at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco and
Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital where she was nominated for the Year
2002 Excellence Award.
In addition to counseling and teaching, she has given several presentations
on pediatric nutrition, weight control, geriatric nutrition, diabetes,
sports nutrition, and general nutrition and wellness to community
organizations.
Christina spends much of her time outside of work training and competing
in triathlons, participating in extracurricular sport leagues, and
cooking for friends and family.
Christina received her Bachelor of Science degree at California
Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, in Nutritional Science
and completed her Dietetic Internship program through Washington
State University. She has earned a Certificate in Weight Management
through the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Christina is a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic
Registration. Also, Christina is a member of the American Dietetics
Association as well as the Bay Area Dietetics Association. She is
a Bay Area native and currently resides in San Francisco.
